Does the cyanLabs version of sync 3.4 still brick the 2020 build?

The only people that can give you a full and accurate answer to that would be CyanLabs. Just drop them a quick e-mail and I'm sure you will get an answer.

Does anyone have guideline and links for the other way with cyan

My update is perfect well the process but the sync 3 is crashing assuming it doesn’t like the fact the maps are not upgraded. I go back to my computer plug it in I can find the update log the sync 3 has created i browse find it and click it but it then does nothing. Just refreshes the screen and still doesn’t let me upgrade the maps says there’s a new software. BUT I HAVE DONE IT!! aarrgghh

It's all on their website, including an install package that does the lot for you, including formatting your USB for you properly

Does this look right Dave ? Ive taken the update from the Ford site as you said but it seems its 3.2 and not 3.4 these are the files ive got on my USB drive, i want to check that it looks ok, because the third item appears to have no file there ?

Yes, install what Ford server is saying is available.

Complete install and upload XML to Ford site.

Next latest software will then become available (eventually)

Then Maps

You might have to keep going back to check

Will cyanlabs also update maps please?

Yes, but be warned you cannot go back - once you are on 3.4 you cannot use the Ford update system any more and you must rely on Cyanlabs going forward.
