PAM not found in Forscan

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a Transit from 2008 with rear parking sensors fitted from factory (It seems so at least), I have run forscan on it and PAM doesn't show up.

I have read some people saying if is dead it doesn't show up and I bought second hand one but still doesn't show. Could have been unlucky enough to order a failed one?

Also checked fuses, wiring and seems all in place.

What should next step?

I'm no help, but you are not alone - I'm unable to find parking assist on my 2010 Fusion either, with a factory fitted Bosch system.

There could be a problem with the Adaptor that you are using or the Wiring.

If you have not done so already when you connect FORScan do not use the Stored Profile, create a new one instead because if FORScan did not find the Module the first time it will not look for it when you connect again.

Done that, no stored profiles are there.

Also am using this new VS link obd connector.

You have a wiring fault preventing the PAM from working (or talking on CAN), not a PAM fault

That's why it's not showing up

Thanks Dave for your comment.

I was thinking the same as weekend work.

This had a rear camera installed in the past likely linked to a radio retrofit and need to find where is the broken link.

More to come

Didnt had time to look this weekend.

The wiring issue if exists will be then between the pam module and the main fuse box correct?

Anyone with a wiring diagram for this?

Thanks in advance
