Keyless entry on rear doors

Featured Replies

It is odd. But as the guy that supplied this information pointed out, it is for a Maverick, so could be slightly different

For instance, my as built had a 0 in that position. 0 is both side CAP sensors disabled, Not PHEV and E Latch override (???) not present

So if I keep those last 2 the same and enable both rear CAP sensors, it should be changed to C. But C doesn't work. As it is, 5 and 6 say 1 CAP sensor enabled and the other disabled. But they both work.

It seems the only difference between 5 and 6 is E Latch override enabled on 5 and disabled on 6. Don't know what E Latch override is, probably not a thing on Focus, so makes no difference. I am 99% sure that I had 5 in that position, but when I just looked it was 6, so possibly it has done that itself

5 or 6 worked? There are 4 different features coded in this position since it codes 4 bits. Two bits are responsible for keyless entry in rear doors. Other are for something else. One bit is for left and one for right handle. So, it might be, that 5 will work only for one door. Or 6 will work only for one door.

I have 2018 Focus, with rear door keyless factory mounted. My value is 6! So, it looks like bit 1 and bit 2 are important (0110). That's why I'm curios how 5 (0101) works?

Hi!

I tried the value 5 first, but it didn't work. I studied several VIN numbers. The English versions have the value 5. The European models have the value 6. I set it to that and it works on both sides at the back.

I'm very satisfied! I'm glad it finally works.

That was me 🙂

Just to ease this settings for future readers, I have created a formula in this calculator. Save AsBuilt with forscan, then load it to the calculator. You will get exact value to write.
