Forscan not showing all of the expected modules (ABS)

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I am new to the forum as of today! I recently bought an OBDII port scanner (link here https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07MQ8GHG3?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title) this was to try and help identify what the cause of my new ABS fault light was. When using the module and it states that the ABS module is found and even will show me error codes for my ABS module (in this case it was the pump circuit error code C1095 any further advice around this would be useful as my current plan is to just by another pump or maybe a whole unit and reprogram it saving my current configuration).

The issue began when i first tried to log my vehicle and no option for a 2007 ford fiesta was available only 2006, for the sake of it i selected that but when going into the module tab it recognises i am in a 2007 ford first and can find all of the core modules correctly including the abs here. However when i go to the "Programming and Configuration" tab as this is apparently where i can save my existing ABS programming etc however on every guide i watch/ forum i have been to they already have access to this module by standard however the only available modules i have to reprogram are in the following image below (this is the same case even in demo mode which in my mind would rule out the issue being with the OBDII adapter but i could be wrong):

The image below shows the module being found in the vehicle interface

This image shows the module found in read DTC codes (ignore that it says none here in error codes for the ABS this image was taken in demo mode but it still appears when i scan my car properly)

Has anyone ever had issues with this before is it the adapter i have bought (despite it still not showing in demo mode and the ABS module error codes showing up and stating the module is found) or is it something to do with my version of forscan, it should be noted i am on the 2 month extended free trial currently.

That Adaptor is not one of the ones recommended by FORScan.

Agree about that adapter - can you return it?
Got one but it started causing problems with later versions of Forscan so best avoided - anyway, you have to continuously switch between the two CAN networks.
And, if a definite fault is found on ABS unit (after checking powers/grounds and all wiring) then consider getting the module repaired perhaps:

Your code gets an honourable mention!

Completely the wrong cable adapter for the present version of FORScan.

Use the vLinker FS

FORScan (for use with Windows Laptop) : https://forscan.org/download.html

It's what many Ford owners use including some Ford technicians.

OR

For diagnostic use only:

Hi everyone thank you for your help i have now got the Vlinker FS going to get that setup and will report back on the progress. Once again thank you to everyone providing suggestions and links

Once again i only have access to certain modules in the programming and configuration the ABS module and error have been found again see the below images, my only real mission to replace the abs pump motor which i have read online doesnt require reprogramming the ABS module to manufactures spec (however i have yet to of verified this) but i would rather have the ability to do this if necessary. I am now using the Vlinker FS as recommended above.(https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0952P4MLP?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details):

I did read somewhere that apparently they removed the ability to reprogram abs modules but that was only one source i every other source has given me no reason to think this (more recent ones at that)

Here is where i cannot current access the AS BUILT format of my ABS module

Now that you have the correct cable you need to delete your vehicle's profile in FORScan and then start again.

Then all the modules will show up

Following. Interested if the abs can still be worked out with forscan. Can a module from another car be used and reconfigured? same spec and part numbers.. etc etc obviously.

Dear OP. It's probably your complete abs module that is going corrupt, something to do with the pcb I imagine. Same as mine has.
