[Mark3 2018 T7CL] oil dipstick - min/max

Featured Replies

I am a bit confused.

Every other vehicle (and even a generator) I owned -  has had a min/max marks, but this one is just blank (yep, on both sides!, lol).

Any ideas what's the correct level range?

Cheers

There should be a crosshatch area on there.  Are you sure it's not on the other side?  The level should be half way up that lower section though.

perfectly flat and shiny on both sides....  So, about 2/3 from the bottom

I've fixed your dipstick for you 😉

I wonder if the hatching on these is 'printed' on somehow, and has been dissolved by acidic oil over time.

I'd say the oil needs to be about half way up.  So minimum 1/3 and maximum 2/3.

Hello many cars have between min and max 1 liter of oil.
