Galaxy 2011 TiX Headlight leveling sensor

Featured Replies

Hi all,

The leveling sensor on the front of my Galaxy is dead. I can find the assembly for replacement for about £100 but the only part that needs replacing is the actual sensor. If I search the part 8G8N-3C492-AA it comes up as being used on many vehicles so I'm assuming this is a pretty interchangeable part. Any reason I shouldn't buy the cheapest one even though it's headlined as a Volvo part?

Cheers

Pete

If the full part number matches fit it.

Final follow up, replaced the original sensor with one of these with the same model number -

While the body shape is different the screws, lever arm offset and connector are all correct, Forscan happily calibrated it and the car has just passed it's MOT.

So as DaveT70 suggested these are perfectly good replacements despite not looking like the original.

Cheers Dave!
