Driver's Door & Boot

Featured Replies

Evening All,

Right folks, I have a new driver's door (from scrap yard) also the rear boot lid/door (also from scrappy).

I have also bought a complete lock system, ignition, driver's door lock, boot lock, and petrol cap lock along with the key (eBay).

My question is: when I fit the new doors c/w locks, and the ignition barrel and filler cap lock, will everything work as normal or do I have to get everything synced with the car's ECU?

I don't want to fit everything, then find out it doesn't work, or needs to be synced, maybe I'd be better off fitting the existing locks in the new doors and filler cap????

Any answers would be welcomed👍.

I think all those components are purely electrical, and not anything clever, but you will probably need to code the keys........
