Drivers door not locking with key fob

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a 2013 S Max 2.0 diesel X Sport. While in a hurry earlier today I unlocked the vehicle and at the same time tried to open the drivers door. Since then the drivers door wont lock with the key fob while all the other doors will.

If I lock it from the inside via the passenger door, it wont open with the key fob either. Is there anyway to reset the central locking ?

Thanks

Jas

Yes.

Disconnect the negative battery lead for 20 minutes. Then reconnect and WAIT for 5 minutes before turning on the ignition. This will reset all modules and boot them up in the correct order.

I have similar problem I have a 2014 Ford s-max sometimes it locks and unlocks via remote and sometimes.  It’s  just the driver’s door that has the problem the other doors lock and unlock via remote no problem.  I’ve checked to see if there is power at the control module on the door and there is when I use the key blade I can lock and unlock all doors. Is it the lock itself that’s faulty or the control module? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Hey @Mike toto, can you take the door card off and watch the mechanism when you press the fob? And also test the signals?  I think you have 3 places where the fault could be:

  1. Door motor
  2. Wiring
  3. Body Control Module
