I've not seen Pumaspeed offer any 1.0 other than the original wet belt cam drive version.

I can't say for sure but this seems to say they can supply engines for the Focus Mk4

That's weird - just been on their "regular" site and there's no sign of that. In the EBay pic I'm sure I can see a belt, though?

Even odder, in their EBay ad they have other 1.0 wet belt engines priced from £0.99 or best offer!😀

Worth a call to see what's what, though.

However, just found this which is the chain engine:

So it looks like they are out there, just takes a bit of finding.

I noticed the PumaSpeed photo is of the older belt engine but the text says:

Items Included

Camshaft, Cylinder Head, Gasket Set, Oil Pump, Oil Sump, Timing Belt, Timing Chain

So I think it very definitely a case of needing to call them !! 🤔

Agreed! B7DA is the chain so looks like right engine, wrong pic.

Further investigation shows that the £0.99 in the other ad I linked buys you a wheelnut - just a way of reserving the engine - you need to call to agree exchange offer on your old one and fitted price, etc. Thought it seemed cheap!😀

This always winds me up.  It's done to get top of the list when people search by lowest price.  But means there are often pages of fake 99p items to wade through before reaching the genuine ads.

Having (hopefully) established that the revised chain cam engines are now available from a couple of sources, it occurs to me there is no mention of suitability for auto cars.

Is it just a matter of an additional balancer shaft module as suggested by various EBay listings? eg:

That's a good point 👍

Again I think it is a case that you would need to call them and ask. Perhaps the balancer shaft can be added ?
