Where's the idle valve on the Fiesta 1.3 Duratec engine?

Featured Replies

Hello all,

My 2003 Fiesta with a 1.3 Duratec engine keeps stalling if not revving high, so I've brought a new idle control value and now can't see on the engine where it goes, has someone got a diagram or picture they can share with me as to where on the engine it lives please?

Thanks all in advance :)

Hi,

It's right on top of the engine on the 1.3.  If you can't see it, are you sure it's a 1.3?  Not a 1.25?

Under the plastic cover?

Yes.  That cover also incorporates the air filter so you will need to disconnect the large air pipes to remove it.
