Problem with auxiliary pump for diesel / auxiliary heater

Featured Replies

I have a Ford S-max 2.0 TDCi, 140 Hp from 2013 with original diesel heater. The heater works fine when I'm driving the car. But when I'm using it as a parking heater it starts but the car doesn't become warm. The fan in the car starts so that's not the problem. Also after a while it always gets over heated and I need to reset it with e.g forescan.

I think there's an auxiliary pump, an electric one, that's supposed to pump the cooling fluid when the car's not running. So, do you smart people think that the problem could be that the pump is not running? Also, I can't find where it's located! I've read somewhere that it should be located close to the cooler but I can't find it.  To be honest I'm having a hard time finding exactly where the actual auxiliary heater is located too!

The pump probably looks like the attached image. Any help is greatly appreciated!
