Map Update Failure

Hi there everybody.

I hope this is the right forum, I have searched, but can't find any which fits the exact problem.

I have recently bought a 2022 Ford Puma 1.0 eco boost Titanium.

After a lot of palaver I managed to update the Sync 3 to the latest build which then gave me access to the latest map update, or, so I thought.

I currently have F10 and I understand the latest map is F13?

I went through the whole process of getting a suitably large thumb drive ready, formatted etc and tried to download the offered update file on my lap top.

I was very surprised by the speed of the download and to cut a long story short found the file was only 27kbs, unzipped, and the DONOTINDEX file was missing.

Needless to say it did nothing when I tried to install it in the car!

Eventually I contacted customer services and after a lot more explanation etc. they said the file was not ready on their website! and that Ford I.T. were looking into it.

I have since seen posts on other sites where people have updated to F13. 

Does this seem right and can anybody tell me if what Customer Service are telling me is right?

I'd appreciate any help or advice.

The Ford map update website is not working properly at the moment. People who downloaded the F13 map earlier in the year have been able to install it successfully but recently the website has been offering a small file which is basically useless. This sometimes happens for a few weeks/months before Ford release a new map.

I expect that the F14 maps will become available in November and when they do you will be able to download them and install them correctly.

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums.

Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may receive warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member.

There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one.

If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance.

The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

Did you get the map update eventually? I have the same issue with my 2022 Focus. My Sync is also up to date but all I get offered is Map_49471_Update.zip which is a very small file and not a full map update. Ford CRC suggested I contact a dealer but I shouldn't have to do that.

Try again in a month. I got F14 maps in October but a lot of forum users report still being waiting for it. The file was named "Map_26883246140_Update.zip" (longer name) but I'm on Sync 3.0. I'm now offered a "Map_47451_Update.zip" file that only contains the report builder, as before I got offered F14.

Nobody seems to know what the problem is. Maybe the xml report you're all sending is botched (I'd try to get a new report using that new file and send it again).
