Break fluid reservoir

I while going to top up my break fluid of my Fiesta 2014, 1.25  i noticed my plastic insert (a white bit of plastic with plastic over it) has a hole in it, i suppose my question is, is this part vital for the break fluid or whether the cap is sufficient and if it is esential is there anywhere I can buy this insert instead of buying a whole reservoir system. I havent been able to see this one insert anywhere.

    The insert is only there to stop any large bits of muck dropping into the reservoir.  As long as you're careful when topping up, it will not make any difference.
