Sticking clutch pedal on my 2010 galaxy

Hi everyone, after a few hours being a contortionist, I've removed the clutch pedal and master cylinder only to find the plastic plunger intact. So can I test the seals in the unit before purchasing a new one ?

Also if that's ok can anyone suggest a instruction/ video for gearbox removal and slave cylinder replacement if I have to go that route.

    If you've gone to the effort of removing it, it's probably worth replacing anyway.

    Seals could be tested using a pressure tester or a vacuum tester...but as you're asking the question, I'm going to assume you don't have either of those to hand anyway.
