No sound

Featured Replies

hi guys and gals. Is there any reason all my speakers would fail all at once. There is no sound at all from any of them not even static. I have a 13 plate 2.0 tdci basic model. I have taken the factory unit out and replaced it with a Sony that I know has no issues. Thanks in advance. 😁

Sure the basic model came with speakers fitted?

If you've got a multimeter, check the continuity through any or all of the speakers from the headunit plug.  There's nothing smart about speaker wiring, they're just a coil of wire at the end of the + and - wires.  If they've got continuity, they should be able to produce sound.

It is possible for a very loud sound to blow every speaker at once...but seems unlikely in this case.

Has the OP checked the battery in their hearing aid ? 🤣

Hey guys…change my hearing aid battery and turned it up 😁 taken the door card off the drivers door and attached a different speaker. One I know works. But still nothing

I'm a bit confused

Did it only stop working after you changed the head unit for a Sony one?

And was the Sony actually from an S-Max/Galaxy/Mondeo? There are compatibility issues with other models.
