DPF code 24E06 fault letter need to sell car Galaxy 2.0L

Featured Replies

Galaxy 2.0L eco blue diesel (150bhp)

I’m one of the many with the 24E06 fault code letters regarding DPF. It passed the MOT in August with no issues but since Sept on 3 occasions engine management light appeared and this seems to be to do with this fault. It does go away after a few days, but obviuylsy is stored in the Ford Pass memory which any Ford dealer can access. I haven’t yet had the recall and checking chassis no, there are no active recalls. In the meantime, we want to sell the car but with intermittent fault codes keeping on popping up, have no idea how to go about this. I haven’t had the invitation letter from Ford yet so I’m in a catch 22 as the fault code is due to this but they aren’t rushing to sort the issue! Any suggestions?

You want to buy the FORScan really, it’s cheap and you can see exactly what’s going on, do you just plod the car about not giving it high revs? We have a galaxy 2l ecoblue and the misses doesn’t drive it hard enough so I just take it out for a long very hard drive from time to time to get it hot and that seems to keep it happy. Once the engine is up to temp give it some good revs
