Fiesta 1.0 Petrol eco boost Codes

Featured Replies

My sons engine management light keeps coming on the code is P2453-00-EC which comes up when searched online says Diesel particulate filter pressure sensor A circuit but its a petrol model, has anyone had this code come up before for a petrol model 70 plate Fiesta

Not necessarily DPF but GPF

It's clogged

Go for a long drive and hold the revs above 4,500 RPM for a while, normally 3rd gear 65+MPH

Often, one of the following messages will come up as well as the warning lamp. There's a section on GPF in the Owners Handbook, download one here:

Thanks for the replies, we did as you both said for about 40 odd miles but unfortunately the light has now came back on with the same code any other suggestions ?

It's either over full or a sensor has gone down.

Will need investigating

Official advice in the handbook is dealer visit.

There's quite a lot of info on gpf on this thread, including forced regen and software updates by Ford dealer, different "drive to clear" techniques**, different fuels etc. (**Some posters comment that it might take more than one drive)

Some additive makers (eg Forte) claim their products will help:

The only Drive to Clear method that you should be using is the one in the Handbook, this is a Petrol car not a Diesel.
