Sync update error Ford Focus 2014

Hi

Had repeated issues with connecting phone to the Bluetooth on a 2014 Ford Focus, and when I researched it, I saw you can update the sync via a USB.

I made the usb stick, put it in, it started the installation, then nothing happened for a good while, so I 'accidentally' removed the USB stick, and then it said reinsert usb, I reinserted the usb stick but it doesn't recognise it now. It keeps asking for the usb stick.

I have left usb in for over 1 hours of driving. Nothing

I have remove all fuses. Nothing

I have disconnected battery. Nothing.

Many times on repeat...Haha

Nothing is changing the screen to not say 'reinsert usb'.

Any suggestions?

    -From what old version to what new version were you updating ?

    -what makes you think "it started he installation"?

    -can you give an estimation of "a good while" ?

    -can you list the files inside the \SyncMyRyde\ folder ?

    Apologies, for late response.

    It is solved now.
    It was 1.1 to 5.1 something.
    When I first added the USB it said it something like 'preparing to install', then nothing for about 20-30 mins. Then it was just the 'reinsert usb' for weeks. haha

    BUT I solved it by eventually changing the USB to FAT32 rather than exfat - and that solved it. Final installation took like 10 -15 mins.

    Thank for the help, I appreciated it.
