powertrain malfunction

Featured Replies

Hello everyone

A bit of advice please. Went away for a week in my 2019 Focus auto 2.0 ecoblue. On a drive of various speeds and after about 2 hours, a message popped up "powertrain malfunction" with a yellow spanner symbol. Only stayed for a second, no EML and no loss of power. It happened again about 10 minutes later

Got home and plugged Forscan in. Only code I have is PCM P02A1:9B-68. Cylinder 2 injector leaking. I've looked all around all the injectors and there is no sign of any leak. It did happen once before, last year, just after starting and pulling away. Not sure what the code was then.

I don't really know where to go with it now. Anyone any ideas?

Thanks

Gary

The 'leak' is inside the injector. You won't see it.

If it's only happening after a very long drive then not worth fixing yet. Budget for a new injector at some point in future.

Thank you. I'll not worry too much about it at the moment then. 👍
