MK4 2019 ST Line X Rear Brake Discs

Hello,

I'm looking to find out the rear brake disc size for a MK4 2019 ST Line X, 180hp. I've gone through multiple ford documents and searches and can't find a definitive answer of which brake disc size should be fitted, some say 282mm and others 308mm. I don't have the tools to take the wheel off so have tried to measure with it on, I think it's 282mm but can't be 100% sure.

Does anyone have any experience of changing the discs and which brake disc size should be fitted?

    Twist beam suspension - 271mm

    Independent suspension - 302mm

    The 1.5 EcoBoost was initially multilink. But then Ford dropped it to cut costs in late 2018. If your car was built in 2019 (not just late registered) then I would expect it to be twist beam with the smaller discs.

    However, I would always recommend measuring to confirm. If you don't have the tools to remove a wheel then you won't have the tools to replace the discs. If you're intending to take it to a garage, many won't fit customer supplied parts nowadays.

    Iirc from previous threads, 282 and 308 are the front disc sizes for twist beam and independent suspension respectively.
