Just had a week in Pembrokeshire travelling along the M4 mainly. Whilst there my car had WiFi coverage for the first time in it's short life and, I think, picked up a map update.

On my way home using SatNav I notice a couple of additions to the map that I hadn't seen before.

I take junction 13 off the motorway, but at junctions 16, 15, 14 I noticed that the slip road off was coloured light blue. along side it was an icon with a + sign and so many minutes. I assume this is an alternative route to mine and the extra time it would take to reach my destination. The other thing I notice at the service stations along the route the icon for the service station now show the fuel price.

Has anyone else noticed this and any idea when the update was released, or have I been concertrating on my driving too much to notice it.

That sounds more like Live Traffic Updates rather than Map Updates.

There's a thought.

But why would Traffic Update give me alternative routes when there were no hold ups on my planned route?

Either Traffic Update/Map Update a nice little feature to have if I get bored of motorway scenery nearer home and have got a bit of time on my hands.
