Hi guys happened to my convertible focus  2009

tried everything Replaced mechanism tried to realigne catches etc etc

in the end fixed by replacing manual catch less than £7.00 !!!   
Does your manual catch still work ? If not replace it Problem solved 😀

    I have a 2011 fiesta and a few weeks back the boot started opening when I switch on the ignition , does that mean a new part is required in the boot ?

    These boot switches need redesigning.   I had mine replaced under warranty on my last Fiesta.
