New to the forum to please be kind!

Recently bought an ST170- gota say a really fun car to drive.

Iv got a few issues with it and need some help.

1) The car alarm tends to go off randomly, iv read that the bonnet is usually the cause of this.

(add up as if i open and close the bonnet the cars ok for a few days)

Iv spoken to ford and they say I have to replace the whole latch, is this right?

2) I was parked up yesterday- went into a shop for 5 mins and came to find that somebody had hit my wing mirror.

It is an electric one- now it also looks heated- any idea how to operate the heated feature?

3) I would like some sun blinds for the rear (think tints on the dark grey car doesnt look right)

Does anyone have part numbers for it?

Iv rang 3 different dealerships and all given me different part numbers and prices.

For your blinds, try Van Style. They do the UV Car Shades which are as good as the Dealer ones (which are Climar ones anyway) if not better, and half the price.

The heated mirrors are operated via the rear demister button.

I also have searched for a set of sunblinds, i can only see estate version for 2010 model not the 5 door hatch.

Van style- they dont do the climar ones for 3dr- but should be ok.

I dont know if this is what you are looking for, but I bought a pair of "Window Sox" for my car, they fit over the door frame on the rear and keep the sun out?

Hopefully thats what your meaning?

Problem with the Window Sox is that you need a door for it-

oops, ok so thats not quite what you need! not sure about window blinds though, but I find a google search and half an hour with different wording tends to find what I need!
