Sputtering/stalling

Featured Replies

Hi All!

I seem to have a bit of a problem that is getting more noticable. I start the car and take off in 1st gear engine goes fine get to a steeper hill, stop and it starts sputtering on takeoff and either stalls or gets close to stalling. The needle does drop before climbing back up quickly and continue's on fine. Just trying to figure out what i should check or whether it's just normal.

I'm more a city driver and not so much highway. It's the 2010 model which means it prob sat at the ford dealer until i purchased it Feb 2011. It currently has 986 miles on it as said not so far just yet. Dirty air filter maybe?

It also does the same in reverse sometimes.

Personally I would let the main agent have a look for you, they will be able to check for fault codes and investigate properly...

I hope you can get it sorted! It's probably something really simple.

Sorry that probably doesn't help much but I need to get my post counts up somehow haha ;)
