MK7 Radio Aerial, I find not up to scratch

I live on the east coast and whilst driving around town I get some area's where the radio would suffer from lack of reception/hiss

even when i tune to the local station (transmitter in the same town) i can hear it drop in quality etc

is there a higher gain aerial available??

it certainly is much shorter than a standard 88-108 aerial. i recon its wound to shorten it.

im wondering if i could get one with the same thread size, but the physical size is longer, to increase its gain
