Hi, lent my Mark 4 fiesta to a friend and the radio is now locked..ten unsuccessful attempts to put in password...how can I fix this? Also has anyone else removed the radio & tape player and put in a radio & cd player? thanks

    1. why did you put 10 unsuccessful attempts in? why not stop after just a few, just in case?

    had you left some attempts free, there are people on this forum who can calculate your PIN for you.

    as it is now locked, i think it's bricked.

    2. the 6000CD is a direct swap for the tape player, the connectors on the back are exactly the same. just buy some radio keys and a 6000CD (or 6006CD if you want the in-dash multichanger) and do a swap. be warned though you will also need the code for the new radio.

    there is a button sequence to allow three more code inputs but i can not remember it, a search should come up with the goods.if you have entered the code ten times you must have the wrong code to match the serial number.

    Thanks for your reply, I lent the car to my brother in law for a few months (long story) and I had told him that I need to get the code..he played around with it but didn't get the right code..I lloked on Ebay for a few of the radio & cd's so that looks like a useful option..

    this is the link you need to get the code...you will need the serial number from the side of the unit and the model number ....joining is totally free and i have used the information from them a couple of times in friends cars successfully..
