Just bought and fitted these new headlamp units with the black edging instead of the chrome, quite like the black contrasting with the white.

Not really seen many Fiestas with this, seen one in Tenerife the other week, is this a European thing???

The black surround headlamps are fitted to the lower end models, style and studio I believe.

They only use one bulb as opposed to two on the chrome suhrround ones

Also the black ones don't have the projector lens (is that what it's called?)

No idea mate. So have I potentially downgraded my headlamp unit performance without the projector lens??

lol. Yes you have.

Project lenses are a lot better, and look a lot better.

The black headlights are off of the povvo spec models.

As said already. They are a downgrade in quality... but I agree they look much better from outside the car.

I havea little project soon.... watch this space ;)

Projectors give a stronger beam but a worse spread of light. Personally I'd prefer the standard reflectors and they would be better down a dark country lane, but the projectors do look good and I can't justify the cost to replace perfectly good lights.
