Power Steering Malfunction

Featured Replies

Hi all, looking a bit of advice/help

i have a 2009 MK7 ZS with 25,000 on the clock tonight i was driving home and pulled in at a shop

came back out to the car started it and up popped a warning "power steering malfunction service immediately"

was no power steering available steering was stiff as hell

turned the car off and started it again and it was fine

now for the past few weeks the steering has been knocking/tapping when turned at a stop but i put it off as ive read numerous of posts about knocking steering and its a characteristic

the car is lowered 45mm which at a guess will void all warranty to do with the steering so does anyone know what it could be?

best bet to get it checked over?

thanks in advance

shaun
