Hello Everyone,

I've fitting ESP switch on my Titanium 1.4 petrol 2011.

Will this effect my insurance????

    Not 100% sure.

    I tried to fit a switch to my Focus but even though i installed the switch on a Focus it is not (ON) by default.

    My local dealed refused to activate the switch after talking to Ford UK who told them they would invalidate my insurance due to new regs around modifying Safety equipment installed in maufacture.

    In the Fiesta the switch is on by default, so not the same so all i can say is ring your insurance and ask them.

    I've taken the switch out.

    Also called my insurance people AXA. They'll call me tomorrow to confirm, if valid or not.

    It's been mentioned on this forum somewhere. Pretty straight forward. The socket was already tucked up behind climate control. Bought the switch from ford online parts and and connected the socket. Took me just 5 min.

    Guys and Gals,

    My insurance people rang me back today and confirmed IT WILL NOT EFFECT MY INSURANCE. So the switch is back in my car. Hope this clarifies any issues. Thanks
