Fiesta Passenger Door Arm Rest Removal

Featured Replies

Hi

I am new to the forum and am looking for help. Just purchased my new Fiesta in July this year and I have noticed an annoying vibration coming from the passenger door arm rest when revving or has bass on stereo. If my wife presses down on the door arm rest the noise dissapears. It's like a connecting block is hitting some thing. My question is is it easy to take the arm rest off and how or should I take it back to the dealer to sort. Would the dealer charge for this?

Thanks in advance

Chris

Welcome to the forum!

The whole door card has to be removed as it's one piece. You need some Torx screwdrivers and (preferably) some proper trim-removal tools to get the clipped parts off. I've taken mine off to change the speakers and add sound deadening. There are some connectors that could rattle, but they're meant to be clipped in place to prevent this. More likely is the door card vibrating against the inner panel - there are a few squares of foam to stop this, but they might be missing.

But as yours is so new, you should take it back to the dealer to sort it out under warranty rather than doing it yourself.
