Bluetooth And Cruise Control Problems

Featured Replies

I have an '11 plate Titanium, and up until now have had no problems.

Firstly I cannot connect/bond my phone to the Bluetooth, it comes up on my phone as connected and plays music through the head unit for say 20 secs but the just disconnects? And the phone does not come up in the list of phone paired on the Head Unit

Secondly the cruise control only works after repeatedly pressing the '+' button, the on button seems to have no effect

Hope someone is able to help

Cheers

Cruisecontrol : the ON button puts it ON ... the + button sets the desired speed, wich you can change anytime by pressing again on the + button.

The ON button is only needed once after ignition. Each time you turn off the engine and you want to use cruisecontrol again, you have to push the ON button and then the + button at the speed of your choice.

....Yes im aware of what the buttons do, its just they are evidently not working properly and each button does not perform the required action, im just looking for an explanation for this, possible a wire shorting in the circuit?

A bit of a harsh response given Amberes was only trying to help, GeorgeZS.

Perhaps I can be a bit clearer regarding the way this (and any other) cruise control system is set up:

The ON button tells the cruise control to be aware that it might be set (puts it in STANDBY mode)

The + button sets the current speed as the target speed, and activates the speed REGULATION mode. A green LED lights to confirm regulation is in place

Whilst in REGULATION mode, the + and - buttons adjust the target speed

Pressing the brake pedal, clutch pedal or the CAN/RES button whilst it is in REGULATION cancels it and returns it to the STANDBY state.

If in STANDBY the CAN/RES button reactivates the REGULATION mode without setting to current speed [contrast with + key which does set to current speed], bringing the car to the previous target as fast as possible.

All of this is detailed in the manual.

As for the bluetooth, given you didn't read the manual for the cruise control, I would suggest you have a read first to make sure you are using that correctly as well.

Peace and all that.

Perhaps I have not made myself clear enough and have not described the problem I am encountering and I don't understand that how you, orcomma, can from any of the above defer that I have not read the manual and do not know how to operate the cruise control?!

Anyway that's all besides the point and I apologise to Amberes for being slightly snappy and for obviously misleading you.

I shall now try to be a bit more clear.

When the Cruise Control has been put into standby, setting the speed with the '+' button, this has NO effect. The cruise control does not activate and no light illuminates on the dash. I have only found that after becoming rather irritaed, that pressing the '+' button a few times continually, this then sets the cruise control at the current speed.

Thanks for the help

ok, now i understand, assuming you are doing more than 1100rpm, and 18mph, this is something to contact the dealer about.
