A bit different, a bit worse on fuel and a lot less reliable but i like it anyway lol

Interesting change...congrats on your new car.

very nice car mate :)

you say a bit worse on fuel, thats an understatement

Looks good mate - which version is it, the 189 or 227? I thought about one of these before I bought my BM, and then again when I was changing the BM, but high fuel costs and lots of miles per year killed that off.

I can't believe how cheap you can pick one up for these days. I guess that the cost of fuel has hit these really hard, doing 20mpg. It amazes me how many people who have cars like these, do naff all miles and buy a diesel. The amount of time it will take to recoup the money lost is insane.

Nice one, what's it like to drive?

And the fact they go bang....

nice looking cars, but I'm not sure the engine is a good choice - I take it you you have been told/warned to check the oil regularly?

They aren't unreliable, it's just numpties use them for short trips and put the wrong oil in and then cry when their engine goes bang after 30k miles. Look after it and it will look after you :)

I used to post on the RX-8 forum and there were even stories of dealers putting the wrong oil in when servicing it

Four in a row ? Yes, I would probably go for a change too. Most I have had in a row is three which were minis many years ago but have had several 'two in a row'. Nice car you have now. Mazda always had the nack of making their cars look special, I thought. Be interested to hear of how you get on with it.

Lovely car mate, take care in the ice and snow though,

once it goes below 1oC the RX-8 turns in to a puppy chasing its tail,

If possible id have kept the fiesta for during the week and that beauty for weekends lovely car,

if i dint have two kids id buy one of those myself in electric blue, used to be able to insure these as a 1.3 over here as its a rotary engine,

although the insurance companys caught on to this after a few years.

Yeh the rear wheel drive will be a handful especially in sunny scotland but i do have access to other cars for those few days when it might be a really big problem.
