Knocking Noise

Featured Replies

Hi for anyone that does not know what i drive. I drive a fiesta mk5 1.3i endure e engine 51 plate. The problem i have now and again when i am reverseing out of my driveway and i put my foot on the brake i can hear and feel a knocking noise which sounds like its comeing from the front left hand side.

Now this only happens now and again and when my foot it on the brake i don't have any knocking noises whe driveing around so i am thinking could it be the brake calipier knocking about or something else.

Cheers alan.

Anyone?

Hey mate, I had a similar problem on one of my previous cars and it turned out to be a track rod end which was damaged and it was clicking out of the socket, but only under certain conditions.

I dunno whether that's something you've looked into?

What I'd try is jacking car up and getting a breaker bar and giving everything a shake to check for movement in any suspension or driveshaft components.

Hope that helps mate sorry for any bad spelling using phone lol.

Dan
