Crazy Wiper Wiring Problems

Featured Replies

Hello all,

New to all of this but looking for some help and advice.

I recently bought a second hand Ford Fiesta 2007 model. Whilst using this vehicle i have noticed something really strange when using the front and rear windscreen wipers.

If i pull the wiper lever forward one click the rear wiper comes on. I then pull further back and the front windscreen washers come on. To get the front wipers to activate i have to manually pull the lever down. Then to get the rear wiper to wash i have to push the end of the stork in. The rear wiper continues to activate until the lever is pushed forward again.

I personally think someone has swapped some of the wiring around at some point but i cannot confirm this, i have done several searches on the internet but cannot find anything to confirm this.

Im hoping you guys can help me figure this out and ultimately fix the problem.

Cheers Blueice1984
