Changing Auto Wipers To Slow Intermittent?

Featured Replies

I have auto wipers on my Fiesta, great! Except that they're utter !Removed!. I'm tired of waiting for the wipe that never comes  Does anyone know how I would go about changing auto mode to slow intermittent? I assume that on standard Fiestas they use the usual slow/ fast/ warp speed?

i have them too, and they are indeed poo

if you want to "kick start" the auto speed adjustment process, twiddle the sensitivity switch - one notch "down" then back "up" and it will fire in action - and then i find its no longer poo but quite good.

fyi my other half has a renault megane with them and they are equally crap if not worse

Auto wipers are pretty rubbish on the Focus as well unless it is raining quite heavily. May as well have an intermittant adjustment instead as you end up twiddling the sensitivity as much as you would adjust the manual version.

Turning the sensitivity knob to prompt a wipe becomes a total pain after about 5 minutes, doesn't it? Does my head in.

If I buy another Fiesta I'll just get the poverty spec, it has more useful features than mine e.g. heated mirrors, wipers that wipe.
