dont think anything broke just all unclipped! does anoyone know how to disassemble them ?

i cant seem to get it to clip back together the way it should be, somthing is stopping me moving the mirror backwards, think it could be the glass,

I replaced my mirror cover with a new one this morning after a car travelling in the opposite direction kindly destroyed the original yesterday. The Haynes manual says to squeeze in the sides of the cover to release the clips and remove it. It must be easier than it looks if a seagull can do it. :D Once the cover is off (or in my case out of its box!) you can see the location of the 3 clips which secure it to the mirror assembly.

Locate the bottom of the cover first, ensuring it is flush with the mirror main frame and indicator lens. Then gently squeeze the sides and top into place - you will feel and hear the clips engage. It sounds awfully plasticy when you squeeze them together but with a bit of gentle persuasion it all snaps together quite easily. My new cover only took a couple of minutes to fit.

Hope this helps.
