How To View Website In Mobile For Phone?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone :). Can anyone help me in finding this website in mobile view website for browsing on a phone? I don't have regular access to a computer and tend to browse the web a lot on my phone. My iPhone used to automatically switch to the mobile website view but my new phone (BlackBerry) wants to load the full page. It still works but on a phone the mobile view is better suited to the screen size.

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

Dan :)

hi dan

it should do it automatically... any other iphone users can test this out?

It pulls directly to mobile view on Iphone and Android , if you want to view it on Blackberry try:

open the page , then goto the address and type either ABOUT:USERAGENT or ABOUT:BLANK , you may get a choice to select mobile view or visa versa.

But of course i have never owned a Blackberry so not sure how they work.

just tried this on my iphone and got the full normal website ... looks ok, however, it does note at the bottom of the page that there is an iphone app for ip.board ... i can't get connected to the app store in work though to download and try this

Thanks guys :) (I'm using the computer at the moment).

I've tried installing 'Opera' which is an alternative browser for BlackBerry's but there's still no luck. It looks like I'll have to use the normal web browser. I mean it works fine, not as smooth as my iPhone 3GS was, but it does the job.

There used to be an option in the browser you could select which would allow you to view all webpages in mobile if they supported it, but they've removed that option on BlackBerry OS6.. Why, I don't know :D Stupid phone!

Starting to wish I went for the upgrade to the iPhone 4S :(

I view on my BB via the full web site - not sure I would want to view a mobile version, often find them lacking and a bit 'plain'

I have the not so exciting LG GW520 - no smartphone by any means, however I have a 3G connection and use that with HSDPA comms to O2, with Opera Mini as the browser, I view the site as it is, and its not that bad, fairly quick to load when I have a signal, but I havent seen a "mobile version", you could however try going to the URL www.m.fordownersclub.com or www.mobile.fordownersclub.com or finally fordownersclub.com/mobile

Maybe one of these will help, but as I say, I have no smart phone and it works quite well :)

Thanks mate :) I've tried going to those individual sites but it seems to redirect me back to the normal website. I'm using my phone at the moment and it's working fine the only annoying thing is it can take a while to load each page. I do like being able to view the whole website but at times on a phone I find it annyoing having to zoom in. The iPhone was a great web browser and I think it's still one of the best.

Ahh well :) Good old tecnology haha!

Cheers,

Dan
