Ford Focus Central/locking And Key Fob Problem???

Hi,

Central locking works when it wants to even after reset and car chimes twice during key fob program but keyfob does not work at all???

Things I've tried....

1. Installed new key fob battery and re programmed with the (I) to (2) method, Chimes when button on fob is pressed

2. Unplugged central locking unit for an hour

3. checked fuse 63

4. reset central locking through hitting door switch six times fast and opening closing doors before leaving for a minute... This had my central locking working like new but by the morning was messed up again, also still denied my key fob from working..

Need to know, do I need a new central locking unit and can my old key fob be synced with it???

On the brink of taking it to ford so any help would be greatly appreciated ;)

    Could be a fault with the GEM (which controls the locking).

    Well I think its the GEM too... Dont suppose you know that if I buy another with the same serial numbers on it will it work with my key fob?
