Ford Fiesta Mk7 Minor Issues

Featured Replies

Ok, Ford Fiesta MK7 11 plate few issues

Now and again when starting the engine the climate controls, AUTO and A/C goes on automatically!!! now whats that about?

using the car an hour earlier climate control was off, i'm pretty sure it should remember the last state??

it seems to be random when starting the car as to when it comes on

other days i can start engine and its off as in remembered last state

second issue, is every now and then the key wont turn in the ignition, think i have solved this though, when i try to move the steering wheel a little it will then turn.

something i have to watch or get looked at maybe ??

and aint the auto wipers poo???

mind i have been told to look through the rain hehehe

cheers

1. AC always goes on when you have the 'windscreen' selected on the blower dial, its a feature

2. Silly question of the year to you mate but that'll be the steering lock your experiencing lol  :P

When you press the AUTO button, the car will do what it thinks is best to the current condtions. Auto will always put on the A/C if you like it or not. In my Titanium, i have none of the options on and have manual control over the fan speed and where the fan is blowing. That way it avoids haviing the A/C comming on when you start the car.

The "problem" with the stearing is as OneTrueSaturday said. Nothing to worry about, is normal in every car in the wolrd. (expect people with keyless start)

The auto wipers do what they are ment to do. You can change how sensitive they are by moving the dial in the middle of the right hand stalk. Move it up to make it more sensitive, and down for less sensitive.

All the above info can also be found in the drivers handbook.

cheers guys, thanks for the reply re climate control, wondered why it came on :)

and thanks for the other tips

yes knew about sensitivity control, but doesnt seem to work very well with light rain IMO

i am a new driver (6 months) so not too technical minded :-(
