Mk5 Wishbone Bushes

Featured Replies

Hey everyone :) I had the MOT on my Fiesta today and it passed without any major issues. It only cost me the price of the MOT test, so am well happy at not having to lay out any money!

I did have a few advisories, and one of these is wear to my front wishbone bushes. The MOT tester said it's a very common problem on all of these Fiesta's? Being an advisory is a bonus because the car is fine at the moment, and at least it gives me a litte bit of time to save some money together.

I've had a look on eBay for a set and found some for £40 with free P&P, which isn't too bad. But, what I'm trying to decide is whether I should spend a little more and go for geniune items? Is the quality going to be that different? I don't want to end up doing the job again in a few months if I fit poor quality parts... lol

What's your experiences? Is it worth spending the money and getting genuine items? Or can I get away with being a tight *** and saving as much as possible :D

Dan
