still yet to order my lights but im going to get the following

dipped will be bluevision ultra and full beam osram nightbreaker plus , for sidelights I will change to the free set of bluevisions , Im thinking about getting fogs and also leds for my number plate can anyone help with this?

I'm not sure what size fogs to get and what is a good bulb and also not sure what to get for the number plate?

I have a 60 plate 2010 focus titanium.

thanks

H7 fitted today , not driven it in the dark yet though , little bit of blue tint , drivers side seems a little low so i need to check i put the bulb in properly , and o/s side light bulb was a nightmare to , "twist and pull " the video says , haha bullnose pliers twist shout scream and yank was more to the point on that one lol

Mitch, I priced the fog light bulbs and they were £30 for nightbreaker plus! Not a cost effective upgrade IMO. Can't remember the size though, sorry. I'm sure Lenny will be along to recommend some number plate leds. More knowledge than myself there. :)

Preee which did you go for?

The Philips H7 Ultra with free side light bulbs , i have not bothered with the main beams as most of my driving is around town.

perhaps I will leave the fogs then if its not a huge improvement on the standard fogs.

I see you've done the drls preee. How do you find them, and was it relatively easy to fit them?

Thanks Terry , you will not regret it when you buy them , they are worth it .

Paul DRL's are great , i love the way they look and fit , i took my time fitting about 3hrs in total but i added a switch so i could turn them off and also took pictures for the guide . Side lights on reduce brightness to about 50% , the above picture is 50% , when no side lights on they can see me coming down the road from Mars :D . I'm actually looking at other DRL's as i'm driving and noticed that they are starting to appear more , But ! most of them seem to be standard bulbs inside the light unit and some have the appearence of Fog lamps , not many LED versions around.

But yes very happy with them.:D

Cheers. Ill hopefully get some in the new year. Did you get hit for vat and import duty on them?

There are some nice ones on other vehicles but the best looking ones are on the Citroen ds3 IMO. Beginning to see more and more of the tacky led strips that aren't even on straight lol. Those are just nasty.

Thats a Yes they need extra cash for the Christmas party  Cost of DRL's and Postage £93.65 , Mr Nice Custom's man £25.20 , £13.20 was for reading the label on the outside of the box ! £12 for Vat.

But still Cheaper than MS-Designs , i have seen a new guy selling them in UK on Ebay for £99 + postage , not sure if he is using a generic set of pictures as the controller unit's look different.

I think i may have seen the DS3 one's they look good.

Hi

Got round to ordering my new bulbs the other day , I have got Philips bluevision ultra H7 for dipped and the bluevision sidelights that come free , for full beam im going to try the Osram nightbreaker plus H1 as they were cheaper than the Philips x-tremes that Ive had before.

When changing the bulbs is it ok to use a clean tissue to hold the bulbs or is it possible to change the bulbs without touching the bulb glass at all?

cheers

The dipped and mains yes its possible. Trickiest bit is removing them from the boxes. You really needs tissue/cloth there. Can't do the sidelights without.

thanks ,just thought I might try using a latex glove.

I wouldn't use gloves as the latex residue may stick to the glass and cause a hot spot.

Most bulbs come with a foam sleeve or such like which is handy for holding.

If not a clean tissue is fine.

Every one except the side light bulb is just as easily gripped by the terminals when handling from the packing.

Just use the tissue when you have to.

Hi

Today I finally fitted my lights ,very pleased with the outcome ,a much whiter appearance.

Was very fiddly trying to get the sidelights out must of been trying for 20 odd minutes , they just did not want to budge but I think they just need a bit of force which I was afraid to use at first.

also when taking the dipped/full beam lights out the connectors don't seem to want to go back in as easy as they click out.

pleased its done and now I know what to do next time I change a bulb.

cheers
