Cruise Control

Featured Replies

Is it possible to leave it ALWAYS switched on... without having to press 'On' everytime I start the car? In my old car you could flick a switch between On/Off so I would only ever have to hit 'Set' instead of 'On' and then 'Set'. If not its only one button I suppose but seems a bit.. odd!

nope, not that I know of

I agree that's a silly one and thought exactly the same when I got my Fiesta a couple of weeks ago. Mind you my old Mondeo was the same...

Most other cars I've had with cruise (other than Fords) the master on/off switch is a physical switch so you can leave it in the on position.

Tis a bit daft but im getting used to pressing 'On' when I jump into the car now :) Drives like a dream too, sooooooooooo refined for a supermini it's unreal!

I'm suprised to hear other car's CC isn't like the fiesta's CC tbh.

I thought having to press ON then SET would be a standard safety measure as the car knows you are sure you want CC on as you've pressed 2 buttons in order, rather than possibly accidently knocking one button ..if that makes sense.

Can't say I'd ever really thought about it, as is my first car with cruise control

Ford are the only ones I've had where you can't leave the CC master on. Even on my ultra safe Volvo I used to have you could leave it on.

Having come from a Citroen I find the Ford CC frustrating, I never turned it off in the Citroen

I like the way it is now, saves me accidentally turning it on (especially when parking and the steering wheel's upside down and trying to change the volume on stereo)
