Sucking Air Before Acceleration

Featured Replies

Hi all,

When I press the throttle on my fiesta 1.25 it makes a brief sucking noise thens revs. Also it runs a bit lumpy\hesitant when cold. Any idease what could be causing this?

Help suggestions welcome.

Cheers

Hi

The pssssst then throttle moves noise is normal. Try it without the air filter attached the noise becomes addictive.

The lumpiness is normal iirc the 1.25 is a little grouchy when cold and so would you be with a ram air effect inlet in this weather

Jamie

p.s are the plug leads original. How old are the plugs and when was the air filter last checked/changed

Cheers James_60.

The plugs\leads are original. It's in for a service in next week so I'l get them to replace the plugs for me too.

If all those items are original the are well over due there replacement date

I would also not be suprised if the plugs are very difficult to remove

How old is the oil etc

A major service sounds like it is required

Jamie
