Locking From Inside?

Featured Replies

Stoney, that looks like a "well... we used to, but now we cant do that any more for one reason or another"... lol

We still do except when flaming camera crews or ridealongs fill the back seats a la road wars camera crews that keep turning up.

Luckily i'm too ugly for TV so doubt if i will grace your screens any time soon. I'd scare little children. (I am pretty adept at avoiding cameras anyway).

Preee, those packages you refer to, how much are they, and I presume they work across most cars, or are they Ford specific designs...?

The ELM 327 works on most cars after 2002 ODB2 . so you can diagnose , but the modification to the ELM and the Russian software is only for the Focus Mk2/2.5 - C-max and Kuga

Thought as much pree, thanks.

Stoney, wouldnt it be a shame if you accidentally left your cholk locks on if they ever did tag along? Lol

There would be no accident about it.

I don't think the dogs would be to impressed with the intruders anyway.

Back seat is removed to allow for dog enclosure and passenger seat is covered with spare gear and paperwork so thankfully no space for anyone else.

They did make a suggestion the last time they filmed here about mounting a camera inside to record everything i did on a patrol but due to the copious amount of swearing i do, it would result in 10 hours of bleeping and nothing else. ^_^

Mounting cameras is always good for a laugh but i would have also made the same point on the swearing.... Ooops this track is off topic badly lol oops - sorry OP!

where can i get this bit of kit and how do i go about fitting/installing/programming it? as I want this on my MK2, I managed to program it on my old MK1, tried the same method on my MK2 and no Joy

i asked my local ford about this and was told it can be done but ford will not do it as there were incidents when the auto locking didnt disable during an accident as it should do so for safety reasons ford dropped the idea
