Chain Or Belt 1.8 Petrol 2008. Answer.

Featured Replies

Definitive reply from Ford, Re. Cam belt or Chain drive, 1.8L petrol engine fitted to Ford Focus 2008.

Focus 1.8 petrol engine 2008 has a chain.

On the mk3 mondeo 1.8 it has a chain but mk2 and mk2.5 focus 1.8 has a BELT!

And there we go again

Clue might be in original post "Definitive reply from Ford"

And there we go again

What is the problem? It just clears up any confusion if you read the post carefully.

It relates to the Focus 1.8 petrol year 2008 only!

Constructive posts only on the forum please.

Take it easy mate. You made effort, checked and shared info on the forum, this is great.

My comment was to dexter666 post as it may again cause unnecessary confusion. I should have include a quote to make it clear.

Good lads, you deserve an ice cream now. ;) :P

Stoney, you won’t sell many ice creams with the blues & twos on and at the speed you’re travelling. :)

I have the chimes though ;)

Fastest '99' (9) in the southwest. :P

Maybe would could share a bowl of water with the dog.

I would put my money on the Sussex force. :D Funds are too tight to dish out ice creams on the way. :(

If you want to go near my dogs bowls uninvited - Good luck - You'll put forward 4 fingers and a thumb but come back with a stump and a pinkie. ;)

Nah, as long as they're not working they are as gentle as lambs, you should see them playing with my nieces and nephews young'uns, Soft as anything with them.

OK I give in, you are the fastest, but we do run several Volvos.

Better be careful, we are running a bit off topic and may get shouted at.

Do Volvo's have chains or belts?

There you are - Back on a sort of topic :P Tee Hee !

I tried putting forward a case to get ST's introduced in my division but they said no as i need to have an estate.

I told them that the dogs would not mind but got told to wind my neck in.:lol:

I am told the Volvo has a chain, that’s on the 5 cylinder engine, but maybe not. There, back on topic.

I usually get taken out in the Merc Riot van, not that fast though, it’s OK for you dog handlers cruising around in estate cars with the pooches in the passenger seat.
