Mk7 Zetec S Alarm Problems

my girlfriends has recently bought a mk7 zetec s but she seems to be having problems with the alarm as it keeps going off. Any ideas why this could be?

    I would assume that you are not getting any door ajar warnings on the dash?

    This is usually a symptom of the bonnet lock switch sticking\gumming up and giving a bonnet open alarm (as if someone has popped the bonnet to disconnect the battery for nefarious reasons).

    If this is the case liberally spray all of the bonnet lock unit with WD40 and open\close the bonnet a few times.
