A Quick Hello

Featured Replies

Hi All

So just signed up thought I'd stop and say "Hi".

Me and my pals have had a long list of Fords from Series 1's to anglias to escort vans. I'm no mechanic but love cars and don't mind getting my hands dirty.

I've just bought a mk6 Escort Van 75 on an R reg, wanted cheap motoring for the next yr and at least I can use a van. She's got 12mths MOT on her but needs a bit of work including lower arms, gear box mount, service and wheel bearings, nothing too major.

The body work is ok, needs a plate on the rear panel and a bit of rust treatment hear and there. I've banged out a few dents and started with the filer and primer. The intention is to get it rumbed down and spray it matt black, put some wheels on it, a set of skirts, a GTI bumper and then just keep her clean and mechanicall sound.

Am sure I'll have loads of questions so look forward to tips and hits from the forum.

Cheers

Charlie
