Spark Plug Firing Order?

Featured Replies

My fiesta 02 is playing up, juddering when excelerating and hard to start on cold mornings.

I have changed the ht leads and spark plugs but I can hear an arcing noise and I do not know where it is coming from.

Does anyone know the firing order from the dizzy cap?

I have looked at diagrams on the net but I cannot make out how you read the distributor firing order as mine faces the back of the engine.

Do you read it standing from the front of the car or a passengers view as most diagrams the dizzy is facing upwards. Thanks

It should as far as I know be 1 2 4 3 from front of engine (the end with belts and pulleys on) for an engine with an overhead valve and 1 3 4 2 for an engine with an overhead cam.

Hi, i had same problem i changed all plugs no luck, then the HT leads.. Still no luck then lastly the coil pack, still no luck mechanics thought it was injector problem,

It turned out it was a faulty plug even though they were new, yeah 1243 is firing order

Come back in 6 months and I'll try and explain, or perhaps you might find a mechanic that can fix your car ?

The only way to beat the rap when charged with disobeying a direct order in the RN ....

It is a wasted spark system, no distributor, No1  at belt end, No4 at gearbox end, order 1,2,4,3 and diagram shows coil connections.

I'm tempted to tease Unofix-surely a wasted spark !

Apologies in advance !
