Bluetooth Addon

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I was going to post this in the General Discussion part of the forum but as i want advice specific to the UK I decided to go here. Apologies if its the wrong area.

Long story short I have come from a Rover 25 with an after market Bluetooth radio that let me play music from my phone, through the car.

I love my new Fiesta but I REALLY miss Bluetooth audio.

I am looking for something that I can use with my car's AUX port that would allow me to connect my phone to it via Bluetooth and have it play music out the radio. I found something that looks like it suits the bill for me called TuneLink (http://www.expansys.com/new-potato-technologies-tunelink-auto-bluetooth-for-android-devices-in-car-audio-interface-appcessor-208926/) which seems almost perfect.

Ideally though, as my phone will be in my pocket, I would want something with Next/Skip track buttons on it.

Can anyone suggest anything that might do the job? (Alternately, is it easy to have an A2DP integrated module fitted to the car radio itself??)

Cheers

Why not just buy a stereo with a usb port and put all your musuc onto a micro usb stick? Surely this would be easier and also wouldnt drain the battery on your phone? Most stereos come with ysb and bluetooth connectivity anyway

I've got Bluetooth and USB on my fiesta and the quality is so much better through USB. It's clearer and carries more bass! Not to mention saving the battery on my phone.

This is the stick I use:

Thats the one ive got sits real flush with the stereo. just a tiny bit sticking out and i agree much better audio quality plus you dont need to worry about poor connectivity.

This is basically my Car Radio:SG102870light.jpg

As you can see, i cant just buy any stereo and fit it to my car...

Im pretty sure that your car has bluetooth? You've got the phone function and the number keys..?

Also I cant quite see but on the indicator stalk it looks like you have the voice activation?

As you already have Bluetooth it would cost around £200 to add the USB functionality.

Heh, maybe i should clarify.. that is a photo i got from Google. It shows the general design of my Car.. I do not already have bluetooth (all the buttons are absent.)
