Which Engine For My Focus....

Featured Replies

Got a 2000 Ford Focus 1.6 Ghia engine sounds very tappy lol so it's coming out and i would like to update the engine but don't want to be playing with looms.

What engine can i fit with the most BHP ect without changing loom.

Thanks for you help.

i wouldnt have thought looms would have been the same... I'd think your stuck with the 1.6 if your not going to change the looms

Been told the 1.8s the same not 100%

  • 2 weeks later...

Sorry 1.6 and 1.8 looms are different so the engine you will need is the 1.6

You're best off swapping like for like so as to avoid any problems with the ecu and looms.
